Please follow the instructions below to enable Android notifications.
Firstly, you will need to make sure the NVR itself is configured to push notifications. Please view the following short video:

On the NVR move the mouse to bottom left, click the start button, then Setup. Go to Motion, enable the Motion Detection, and then to Record, Record Schedule, select PIR and Motion, and choose the times you want to be recording, and lastly go to Alarm, Alarm Schedule, choose the Channel you want to be notified by, tick Push, and select the times you want notifications in. Press Apply after any of the changes to save them.
Secondly, you will need to open the Settings app on your Android. Please view the following short video:

You will need to find the Battery menu in your Android Settings, then disable Power Saving (not all Androids will require this), then locate the Background Usage menu and add the Concord Security app to the list of apps the phone will not “put to sleep”, so that it will still be able to generate notifications for you. Then open your Settings -> App menu, find Concord Security, and use the slider to enable Notifications. Some Androids will also disable apps that are not used frequently, and you should find a setting to prevent this here.
Lastly, you will need to enable notifications in the Concord Security App itself. Please view the following short video:
https://bmc.worldmanager.com/go/wkX3Qq
Open the Concord Security App, and press the person icon on the top-left, then choose Notifications. Click the cog, then slide the switch to enable the NVR, and click the second cog to ensure all are ticked, then Save.
You can now close the app itself any time using the Android Task Manager, and the notifications will continue to be sent. If they come too frequently, adjust the sensitivity in the NVR Motion menu. If they come at inappropriate times, change the schedule in the Alarm menu. Note that we do not recommend using a task killer or memory cleaner on Android, as they usually offer no benefits and they may stop notifications.
Please keep in mind that the notifications rely on both your NVR’s internet connection, and the Android’s internet connection to work. If either of these are intermittent, such as when you are moving in-and-out of Wi-Fi to 4G reception, the notifications may not be received, as the phone may take some time to re-register itself with the network and remote servers. In addition, some Androids will go into power-save mode whenever the battery is low, and this will disable notifications.
