A new AU/NZ standard was introduced in November 2023 for power systems in caravans, campers and RVs (AS/NZS3001.2:2022). This standard only applies to van builders/sellers/users.
This AS/NZS standard requires that batteries installed in vans have been tested to comply with a different international standard (IEC 62619). Our SB22xx batteries are compliant with IEC 62619, and our battery test report for IEC 62619 can be obtained by contacting us.
We can not supply copies of the AS/NZS3001.2.2022 standard itself, as this has to be purchased from Standards Australia.
We do not have any test reports that refer to AS/NZS3001.2.2022, because we are not a van builder/seller, and are not required to comply with it. Van builders, sellers and installers should visit this site for assistance: https://rvelectricalready.com.au/
A detailed explanation of the standard is here: https://www.redarcelectronics.com/
Whilst we sell wiring, chargers and accessories for power and battery electrical installation in caravans, campers, and motorhomes, AS/NZS3001.2.2022 requires that power equipment must be installed in compliance with specific electrical standards, and the installations need to be inspected and certified by professionals - we are unable to give you specific installation advice. See here for more details.
