Download the OBS Studio software and install it. When prompted, choose the middle option to optimise for recording. The software will check your PC is powerful enough to run it, then just click through to finish the install.
Plug in the XC4663 to the PC via USB using the Type-C PC/DC port on the side of the unit.
Run the OBS Studio software, and click the Sources + button:
Now pick Video Capture Device from the menu:
Click OK on the Create/Select Source box:
Make sure the Device box has HDMI to USB Video Capture & Recorder selected:
Scroll down and choose Audio Output Mode Output Desktop Audio (WaveOut):
Tick the box Use Custom Audio device:
Below the tickbox, select Audio Device: Microphone (HDMI to USB Video Capture & Recorder)
Click OK to save. You can adjust the audio in the Audio Mixer:
Connect your HDMI source to the HDMI-in port on the XC4663 and you can start.
To stream to services like Youtube, open Settings -> Stream, choose your service, login to authenticate your chosen streaming service. Then press the Start Streaming button. Follow the prompts to get the stream running.

Setup for screen capture from iPhones and iPads
Download the OBS Studio software and install it. When prompted, choose the middle option to optimise for recording. The software will check your PC is powerful enough to run it, then just click through to finish the install.
Plug in the XC4663 to the PC via USB using the Type-C PC/DC port on the side of the unit. Connect your iDevice using a USB3.0 cable to the USB HOST port on the XC4663. Trust the device when prompted on the phone. Make sure no other cables (HDMI/AUDIO/LAN) are connected.
Run the OBS Studio software, and click the Sources + button:
Now pick Video Capture Device from the menu:
Click OK on the Create/Select Source box:
Make sure the Device box has HDMI to USB Video Capture & Recorder selected:
Scroll down to Resolution/FPS Type, and select Custom.
From the options now exposed, pick a resolution from the dropdown, and then Video Format H264.
Scroll down and choose Audio Output Mode Output Desktop Audio (WaveOut):
Tick the box Use Custom Audio device:
Below the tickbox, select Audio Device: Microphone (HDMI to USB Video Capture & Recorder)
Click OK to save. You can adjust the audio in the Audio Mixer:
You should see the phone screen appear. If the screen stays black, make sure you are using a USB 3.0 cable to your iDevice. Tested to work with iPhone15 and USB3.0 Type-C cable included in the box.

Setup for streaming via network cable
If you are looking to stream direct from the unit via network cable, you can download the Stream configurator here for PC or MAC. Once you extract the file, open HD PVR PRO:
This will find the streaming box's IP Address (it needs to be on the same network as the browser):
Click the IP address to launch the configurator:
To view this stream locally, open VLC Media Player, go to Media, then Open Network Stream, and enter the URL from the RTSP URL box. If you want to stream to a service, such as Youtube, you will need to fill in the RTMP(S) details from your service.
