QV3880 Dash camera - how to format the memory card and wire the reverse camera?

The QV3880 2K Dash Camera memory card can be formatted two ways - in the camera, or on a PC.

In the camera

On the side with the SD card slot, long-press the middle Menu button. 

Use the Down & OK keys to go to Settings

Select Format, tap OK

Press Down to move the highlight bar from Cancel to OK, tap OK

Menu is between Up and Down. OK is the top button on the other side of the camera.

Short press on Menu will take you back out of the current setting.

On a PC

Connect the card to a PC via a card reader.

Open My Computer, right-click the card.

Choose Format from the right-click menu, and press Start. 

Wiring the reverse camera

Connect the Red wire at camera end of the cable to the +12vdc wire that goes to a reversing light

Route the camera cable end with the 2.5mm plug on it from the rear of vehicle to the dashcam

Plug it in to the socket on the top of the camera

Turn on the ignition and put the vehicle in reverse

Check the picture is oriented the right way up, and attach the camera bracket to the vehicle
