How do I play video from QV3878 / QV3880 / QV3882 GPS dashcams?

These dashcams embed the GPS speed and location information in the video files they save to the SD memory card. Playback software is available for Windows that can show the GPS info alongside the video.

How to extract and play video for QV3878 and QV3880

1. Connect the camera to a PC with a USB Type-C cable, press OK on the Mass Storage prompt
2. OR Remove the memory card from your camera, put it in a card reader and connect it to a PC
3. Open the memory card in File Explorer
   
4. Copy all the files to your PC
5. Double-click the HIT file in the root of the memory card files
6. Wait for the installer to download the GPS player to the PC
   
7. Click Next through the software installer until you complete the installation
   
8. Open the HIT GPS Player software from the desktop icon
   
9. Click the folder button and browse to the SD card files
   
10. Open the DCIM folder and select the file you want to play
    
    
    

How to extract and play video for QV3882

1. Remove the memory card from your camera and put it in a card reader
2. Connect the card reader to your PC and copy the files to your PC
3. Download the HIT GPS Player installer to your Windows PC from here
4. Extract the HIT file from the zip and double-click to run it
5. Wait for the installer to download the GPS Player
   
6. Click through the software installer to complete the installation
   
7. Open the HIT GPS Player software from the desktop icon
   
8. Click the folder button and browse to files you copied from the SD card
   
9. Open the Record folder and select the files you want to play
