The QP6014 can be used to capture environmental data on Windows PCs.
How to install the datalogger
Plug in the data logger to a USB port on the PC.
Download the Software files from the website.
Right-click the downloaded Zip file and extract the files to a local folder.
Click through the folders and open the USB Driver folder.
Open the folder for your version of Windows and run the installer. You will need admin rights to the PC.
(CP210xVCPInstaller_x64 is for 64-bit Windows, CP210xVCPInstaller_x86 is for 32-bit Windows)
Click through the driver installer until it finishes
Go back up to the DT172 general DISK v1.9.1 folder and run Setup
Click through the setup until it completes, and you can now open the Datalogger program
Right-click the Instrument on the top left, and choose Download Data and then click Download
If the Datalogger does not offer to download any data
Right-click the Windows icon in the Taskbar, then click Device Manager.
Confirm the Silicon Labs CP210x port is installed in Device Manager under Ports
If it looks as below, unplug/re-plug the datalogger, and try a different USB port
If the device is not installed correctly, it may appear as below:
Double-click the device and press Update Driver
Browse to the folder extracted from the ZIP, until you get to the folder containing the drivers
Choose the folder with your version of Windows and then update the driver.
