Saturn 4 Series TL4840 TL4842 TL4844 - Z-Axis does not move

Issue

The Z-axis does not rise after dropping down to the bottom position. The Z-axis motor may seem like it's stuck or unable to move.

Cause

The build plate is sticking to the film so strongly that the motor does not have the torque not separate it properly. This can happen when old film and resin combine make a too-sticky surface.

Fix

Empty and clean the vat with Isopropyl Alcohol. Replace the film with a new one.
